Donnalee McKenna

Born in Montreal, Quebec.
I have been sketching since I was old enough to hold a pencil in my hand. I painted my first picture when I was 16 years old as a wedding present for my aunt. She kept it on her wall until she died.
My father was an artist who encouraged me to explore many expressions in art. In the past, I focused on traditional land and seascapes. Recently, I have turned toward abstract expressionism. Colour and imagery are my main focus.
Currently I am a member of the:
OWAA
WCAS
AOE Arts Council
I am also curator for the art at the Carp Library.
I have work exhibited at the West Carleton Medical Centre in Carp , the Carp Public Library and the GRC in Stittsville.
