Blue and Green.
These are the colours from my environment.
My life is filled with contradictions which I express in my work. My culture and ever-present extended family drive me to add action and vibrancy of colour. But, the subjects I choose reflect the refuge I seek in the serenity of natural settings. I try to capture my subjects in a realistic manner. But, I also create abstract pieces using materials that normally become part of our land-fill. The commonality in my work is the expression of fleeting experiences: the delicate blue in a summer morning sky; the perfection of colour in fall; the beloved possession of a loved-one.
