Louise Barker

Louise Bauer-Barker

Retirement has given me the long awaited privilege of fulfilling my desire to paint.  My paintings reflect realism and figurative styling, which recently is merging into investigating impressionism.  The beauty of nature is predominant in my search for inspiration.  Landscapes, animals, florals and portraits in all mediums, with oils as my favourite, present an eclectic mix. Painting the beauty of our surroundings is a challenge that leaves me eager to start the next project.

I am a founding member and Co-Chair of the Ottawa West Arts Association in Stittsville operating the owaa gallery. I am an award winning artist and a member of the Kanata Art Club, AOE, Nepean Fine Arts League, the Frederic Remington Art Museum, and participated in the Stittsville Artists Studio Tour for several years.   In addition I have participated in juried shows, and have shown my work in many local shows and galleries.

Feel free to  email me at or call 613-831-1893 to view my paintings, for information, or to arrange a commission.
