Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Beverly has been passionate about photography since her childhood. Growing up in the Maritimes, she quickly became aware of nature’s power and beauty as well as the profound impact that it has on people. Untitled1As a young girl, she already strived to take pictures that are able to stir emotions. Later, as an adult, marriage and raising five boys limited for a while Bev’s ability to fully devote herself to her art. But, she still managed to work as a part-time studio photographer for a few years before completing a photography certificate at Algonquin College in 2012.
Now that her boys are grown up, Bev is finally able to concentrate more time on photography and participate in art exhibitions. She also joined The Shooter photography club this year to be a more active photographer and share insights with her peers. Bev is a versatile photographer, as comfortable in taking picture in urban settings as in nature. Her keen sense of observation, attention to details and patience allow her to capture in pictures the kinds of key moments or visual effects that people really appreciate.
