Hope everyone is having a nice summer.
We will soon be starting a new membership year 2016-2017 beginning 1 Sep 2016. Would you please confirm that you want to continue being a member of OWAA by sending your membership fee to me before August 20, 2016? This can be done by cheque made out to OWAA, by cash or by e-transfer to my e-mail address (trudydaley@rogers.com). My home address is: 10 Brightside Ave, Stittsville ON, K2S 1K5
It is very important to renew your membership before that date, since the next exhibition will be starting 10 Sep 2016 and if we have not received the membership form and payment for the next year, it will not be possible for you to exhibit.
A reminder: We are still looking for volunteers and we would very much like to receive nominations for the positions still vacant as per John Edkins’ last e-mail on that subject.
Please note that with your membership you are required to indicate your volunteer duties. The OWAA is a volunteer organization and we need everyone to pitch in. It can be as little as helping with the hanging of the art work during the changeover or helping produce the cards for exhibitions. More significantly, we are still looking for a new Chairperson. John Edkins has been so kind as to fill in this position while we are looking for someone on a more permanent basis.
We look forward to a great membership year and hope that the public will enjoy our exhibitions at the GRC and express their appreciation with sales.
